Alla fine del 1880, nel retro del negozio di un calzolaio di Milwaukee, Albert Weinbrenner ha scelto di realizzare stivali da lavoro destinati ad un uso professionale. Esperienza, artigianalità e costante desiderio di innovazione sono ancora oggi alla base della produzione di Weinbrenner. Ciascuno dei modelli evidenzia una robusta costruzione Goodyear Storm Welt: la suola interna è infatti cucita direttamente a quella esterna in gomma, rigorosamente Vibram®, in maniera tale da rendere ermetiche queste calzature. Le cuciture multiple in contrasto, emblema dell’elevata resistenza di questi work boot, disegnano l’intero profilo della scarpa.

In the late 1880's, from the back of his father's Milwaukee cobbler shop, a young Albert Weinbrenner set out to design specialized work boots for the new trade of telephone lineman working around the state of Wisconsin installing private and public exchanges. He was successful. Proudly ‘Made in the USA’ the American Heritage embodies the perfect combination of craftsmanship and comfort that characterises Thorogood products. Each model shows a robust Goodyear Storm Welt construction; in fact, the inner sole is directly sewn to the rubber external one, rigorously in Vibram®, so as to make the shoes absolutely waterproof. The multiple contrasting sewing ( quadruple at the points of greater stress), an emblem of the great resistance of these work boots, designs the whole outline of the shoes.
